Learning Outcomes
- Recognise the role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
- Assess emergency incidents and ensure the safety of themselves and others
- Perform a primary survey and respond to unresponsive infants and children (with or without normal breathing)
- Deliver CPR and use an AED confidently in paediatric emergencies
- Provide first aid for choking, wounds, bleeding, and shock in infants and children
- Respond appropriately to incidents involving seizures and minor injuries
